Business Development Executive (Singapore)

    Job Summary:
    The ideal candidate should be prepared to start as a sales specialist with the potential to advance into a management role based on performance.
    Primary Responsibilities:
    Sales and Revenue Generation:

    • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities while maintaining and expanding existing customer relationships.

    Product Knowledge and Demonstration:

    • Stay abreast of industry trends, product developments, and technological advancements.
    • Conduct product demonstrations and provide in-depth technical information to clients.

    Market Research:

    • Conduct market research to identify potential customers, market trends, and competitive landscape.
    • Analyze data and prepare reports on market insights and opportunities.

    Customer Engagement:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers.
    • Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

    Collaboration:

    • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing and product development, to ensure a cohesive and effective approach to sales.

    Reporting and Analysis:

    • Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and other relevant metrics.
    • Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

    Professional Development:

    • Stay updated on industry best practices and continuously enhance product knowledge.
    • Participate in training and development programs to improve sales and technical skills.

    Skills and Qualifications

    • Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science & Engineering (Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry/Physics, or related fields).
    • Proven Sales Experience: 2-3 years of experience in sales, particularly in laboratory and characterization equipment, with a demonstrable track record of success.
    • Industry Knowledge: Experience in characterization techniques such as Spectroscopy, Particle Sizer, Surface Area Analyzer, Calorimeter, etc.
    • Personal Attributes: Independent, dynamic, self-driven, with a positive attitude and longterm career focus. Basically a self-starter who is hungry for success.
    • Communication and Multitasking: Strong communication skills, creativity, resourcefulness, and ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
    • Customer Relations and Market Insight: Capability to maintain strong customer relationships and an understanding of market trends and competition.
