Summary:

We are looking for a professional Business Development Manager for an International Tourism Company based in Ho Chi Minh City, . The successful candidate will be given specific sales segment responsibility and their focus will be specifically selling outbound travel to the Vietnamese travel industry. We are a worldwide recognized brand in the travel space and its reputation is high in delivering quality professional service standards to its clients around the globe. This new appointment will mark ours increased interest and commitment to developing its presence in the Vietnamese marketplace. The position will be home based and reporting directly to Head Office oversea

*Requirements :

  • Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • Will possess in-depth knowledge of the Vietnamese travel industry – preference will be given to those with specific knowledge of the outbound market
  • Proven employment record in a leadership role within the travel industry (minimum 5 years)
  • Fluent Vietnamese and English mandatory (written and spoken)
  • Computer literate (Microsoft word, Excel, Power point)
  • Results orientated (measured on pre-determined targets)
  • Can work independently – self motivated
  • Must be able to travel (domestically and internationally)
  • Pleasant demeanor, outgoing personality, sales orientated
  • Flexible in approach yet decisive when identifying business opportunities
  • Enjoys challenges regardless of barriers that may exist to succeed
  • Must be able to work under pressure, possess a strong sense of responsibility, accountability and a desire to succeed

*Job Description:

  • The successful candidate will be responsible in strengthening the communication between Company and its clients in HCMC. Daily client visits are necessary to build relationships that will foster trust and breed confidence in company products and services.
  • The objective is to source out new quotation requests for Company from the market and to follow-up after an offer is made. All quotation requests will be e-mailed by the client directly to Head Office. After quote is complete office in Head Office will e-mail the price back to the client. All communication in this process will be cc’d to the BDM. The BDM will not approach existing clients where there is already good communication and business with company. A list of such agents will be provided to the BDM. The BDM’s brief is to seek out ‘new’ clients with ‘new’ business for company.
  • The BDM will be responsible for pushing clients to pay tour fees within specified deadlines but will not involve any form of physical money collection as all payments are electronically transferred to its Hong Kong account. A weekly client activity report will be required to be submitted each week on Fridays.
  • Salary range:1,400 gross per month
