Summary:

*PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Lead and manage the sales demand review discussion in the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process, enabling the Leadership Team to operate the business more effectively.
  • Produce accurate annual, monthly and weekly sales forecast and planning based on internal and external information from both macro and micro perspective. This is to facilitate the efficiency and cost effectiveness in supply chain management.
  • Review actual sales performance against the assumptions based demand forecasts and proposed solutions to close any volume gaps.
  • This needs to be regularly reviewed to enhance long term forecast accuracy.
  • Review and consolidate the Exclusive Distributors’ and Master Distributors’ forecast submitted by regions for demand replenishment planning purposes.
  • Involve in annual company planning process by projecting the next 2 years’ sales volume under different planning scenarios.
  • Manage in conjunction with the Supply Chain team the inventory by using ABC ranking, by analyzing sales cycles and inventory levels
  • Manage all the performance aspects of the service level agreements between Brand, Trade and Supply Chain and ensure that agreements are maintained accurately reflecting the business needs of both departments.
  • Gather / generate innovative ideas on how to increase efficiency and effectiveness of planning processes

*ADDITIONAL INFORMATION :

*Experience:

  • University graduate with solid academic results, preferably in business management
  • A minimum 5 year experience in Planning in a sizeable FMCG company (preferable an MNC) with at least 1 year experience as Manage Others.
  • A cross-functional experience of Sales & Trade Marketing operations is an advantage.

*Functional Knowledge and Skills:

  • Full command of Marketing planning processes
  • Strong in analytical skills, including data mining and data analysis
  • Understanding of the greater context of business strategies and external environment
  • Ability to think /operate strategically for making key business decisions.
  • Advanced level of English writing and speaking

*Managerial and Interpersonal Skills:

  • Facilitate, coordinate, and solve conflicts among areas / functions
  • Influencing skill, particularly in dealing with senior management team
  • Motivating, coaching and developing people
  • Effective communication and presentation

*Key Success Factors :

  • The most important metrics by which successful performance will be judged are:
  • Sales plan achievement
  • Demand forecast accuracy and stability
  • Provide value-added analysis on market & trends to support assumption driven forecast and scenario planning requirements
  • Ability to engage and solve conflict of interests, if any, with the different stakeholders
